From the studio: a creative reconstruction
A first-person creative reconstruction drawing on the biography and artworks.
I imagine a table with pages placed side by side: a face, a headline, an overflowing sentence. The parts do not have to speak in the same tone. I want their proximity to disturb each other, leaving some friction unpolished.
Working around DEV-FANZİN: İsyan, my attention returns to this detail: DEV-FANZİN issue 2, presented with the İsyan cover. The link opens the page-turning reader for this issue. In the next passage, I imagine pulling back anything that weakens that encounter and leaving the areas holding its tension open for longer.
In the final passage, I imagine returning the work to its own context. I leave room for reading a page, looking at a frame or watching the film beyond the narrative assembled here.
