İlker Ortaç: life and creative practice
Originally from Mardin and based in Kadıköy, İlker Ortaç studied librarianship and spent years programming before concentrating on novels, stories and screenplays. Writing, drawing, photography and cinema appear alongside each other in his portfolio.
In his Milliyet Sanat interview about portraiture, he describes a relationship with a chosen subject through an image, sound or memory. This does not establish a single technical sequence for every drawing. These pages do not add studio methods, software or tools absent from the source record.
