From life to creative practice
Beşiktaş and Efes Pilsen terraces also appear in Ortaç’s biography. This personal proximity to sporting culture offers a way to read the portrait apart from a score or match record. The face is not presented as documentation of a specific game.

From the studio: a creative reconstruction
A first-person creative reconstruction drawing on the biography and artworks.
I imagine how the sound of a terrace might become a line across a face. Describing movement does not require filling an entire court or pitch; sometimes a jaw, a gaze or a compressed shoulder is enough. I let the line move around that tension.
Working around Jurgen Klopp, my attention returns to this detail: Klopp’s rectangular glasses define the upper face. The beard balances their dark structure below. In the next passage, I imagine pulling back anything that weakens that encounter and leaving the areas holding its tension open for longer.
I spread the image across a horizontal desk in my imagination. Between areas covered by a hand and everyday objects, I reconsider which part of the face will keep looking back.
How the drawing works on this product
A desk mat spreads the artwork over a horizontal working area. A keyboard or mouse can cover parts of the image during use, so facial placement matters differently here than on a wall. Review the full mockup and measure the available desk space before selecting this format.
